Technical information

Region – Chalonnaise region of Burgundy

Soil – Limestone-clay

Grape Varieties – 100% Pinot Noir.

Harvest & Vinification – Maceration lasted approximately 15 days then the grapes are pressed gently and slowly in the vertical press. The press wine and the free-run wine are blended and transferred into French oak barrels (20% new oak) using gravity. The wine is matured for 12 months before being racked. Gentle filtration before bottling

Aging – In oak barrel

Tasting notes

A dark and deep ruby colour, with purple reflections. A pleasant nose with aromas of crisp red fruits – raspberry, cherry – evolving to earthy and leathery notes. It is direct but remains a soft, rich wine. Marked tannins that will become more mellow with age. Beautifully balanced with persistant aromas of red fruits making for a long finsih.
