Region – Pessac Leognan, close to centre of Bordeaux
Soil – Deep sandy gravel.
Grape Varieties – 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot
Harvest & Vinification – Grapes harvested and sorted by hand. Fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.
Aging – 12-14 months in oak barrels (1/3 new).
Dark and unctuous, floral notes with a hint of concentrated black fruits give way to brighter red berries on the palate. With elements of spice and liquorice, it is fleshy with bold tannins, which soften and mingle with vanilla and a touch of burnt wood. Floral, bold and elegant.
